OFFICIAL BAYER CROPSCIENCE STRATEGO® FUNGICIDE "BLAKE SHELTON" SWEEPSTAKES RULES NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. MAKING A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID IN COLORADO, FLORIDA, NEW YORK, ALASKA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO, ALL U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, AND WHERE PROHIBITED. Bayer CropScience (Sponsor) is offering this Sweepstakes.

1. In order to be eligible to participate, each entrant must be a rice grower as of 01/01/05, who is 21 years of age or older as of the same date and a legal resident of the United States, excluding Colorado, Florida, New York, Alaska and Hawaii, where the Sweepstake is void. Proof of eligibility will be required. Void in Colorado, Florida, New York, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories and possessions, and where prohibited. Employees of Bayer CropScience, its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, promotion and advertising agencies and agents, and members of the immediate families (defined for these purposes as parents, spouses, children, siblings and grandparents, and the respective spouses of any of the foregoing) or households of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate. This Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
2. Sweepstakes begins on 03/31/05 and ends on 07/1/05 (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than 07/01/05 and received no later than 07/08/05. Online entries must be received by 11:59 pm CST 07/01/05.
3. To enter : Complete an Official entry form with all required information OR hand-print, on a 3" x 5" card or piece of paper, your name, business name, address, zip code, daytime phone number, grower ID, and email address (if you have one), and mail your entry in a standard, #10 business-size envelope to: STRATEGO Blake Shelton Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 660277, Birmingham, AL 35266-0277. Alternately, visit www.progressivefarmer.com/farmer/secure/contests/blake_bayer/entry.html and follow the directions on the screen. Mechanically reproduced entries prohibited. Limit one mailed entry per envelope. One online entry per email account. If you do not wish to be contacted by Sponsor for promotional purposes, please state so on your entry.
4. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Proof of entry submission will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor or Administrators. Sponsor and Administrators are not responsible for: lost, late, incomplete, damaged, illegible, postage-due or misdirected mail or entries, or for entries submitted in a manner that is not expressly allowed under these rules; all such entries will be disqualified.
5. Three potential winning entrants will be selected in a random drawing conducted on or around 07/15/05, by representatives of Bayer CropScience or the Sweepstakes Administrators, from among all eligible entries received in accordance with these rules. (If the drawing is conducted by the Sponsor's representatives, it will be supervised by the Administrator.) The Administrators' decisions shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Potential winner will be contacted by telephone, mail and/or email(if applicable) within approximately 30 days after the drawing. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within 7 days after the first attempt, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate potential winner, who will be notified as per the procedures outlined above.
6. Three (3) Grand Prizes will be awarded, consisting of a trip for two to see Blake Shelton perform at the "Raise the Barn" concert at the Progressive Farmer Idea House and Farmstead in Pinehurst, NC on August 24, 2005. Trip includes round-trip coach airfare to Raleigh, NC from the major terminal located closest to Winner's home, two nights lodging (standard, double occupancy) at a hotel, to be selected by Sponsor, located in Pinehurst, NC. Ground transportation to and from the airport in North Carolina and the Idea to and from the Idea House and Concert will be provided. All expenses not specifically outlined above, including meals and miscellaneous expenses not included. Estimated Retail Value: $3,000 per package. Total estimated retail value: $9,000) Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Prize is nontransferable and must be accepted as awarded. Winners must take delivery of prize in a manner to be set forth by Sponsor. No cash or other substitution for prize except in Sponsor's sole discretion or as provided herein. Sponsor reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. All fees and costs related to prize acceptance and/or use are the winner's exclusive responsibility. Winners will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the stated value of the prize, and must pay all state, local and federal income taxes in connection with the prize winnings.
8. Potential prize winners will be required to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (except in Tennessee) a Publicity Release, within seven (7) days of initial notification. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of prize and selection of an alternate winner(s). By accepting the prize, the winners agree that the Sponsor and those acting under the Sponsor's authority may use winners' name, picture/portrait likeness and/or voice, for advertising and promotional purposes in commerce and in all media worldwide without limitation or additional compensation (such agreement optional in Tennessee). Potential winners must comply fully with these Official Rules in order to receive prize.
9. Other Terms and Conditions: Bayer CropScience, Rhea and Kaiser, Progressive Farmer and their respective agencies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and retailers shall have no liability for damages or injuries of any kind in connection with the any entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes, acceptance, possession or use of the prize awarded, or participation in prize-related activities. Winners will further acknowledge that said parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to such prize including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.
